Born and raised in Cooper County, Missouri, Cody Thurman is a professional Auctioneer and Personal Property Appraiser, proudly licensed in the state of Missouri. My Story
Cody Thurman, the owner of Green Acre Land Group. For over six years, I’ve specialized in selling tillable farms, pasture farms, and hunting properties, combining my passion for the outdoors with my commitment to helping clients navigate the real estate process.
Alongside my real estate career, I am proud to serve as a firefighter and EMT with the City of Columbia, MO, where I’ve been dedicated to public safety for the past eight years. My time as a first responder has taught me the value of hard work, reliability, and staying calm under pressure—traits I bring to every real estate transaction.
During my career in real estate and firefighting, I served for six years in the United States Air Force Reserve, with a deployment to Djibouti, Africa, from January 2021 to August 2021. My time in the military shaped my sense of discipline and attention to detail, qualities that continue to drive my professional success.
When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me in the woods chasing big whitetails—bow hunting is a passion of mine, and I love every aspect of the sport. I’m also a FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot, and for the past six years, I’ve been capturing stunning aerial photos and videos of my real estate listings, giving my clients an elevated view of their properties.
In addition to my real estate experience, I’ve also completed my auctioneer certification at the Missouri Auction School in June 2024 and became a certified personal property appraiser with the Certified Appraisers Guild of America in August 2024. These certifications allow me to offer a wide range of services, from online auctions to professional property appraisals, giving my clients the full spectrum of expertise.

Matt Thurman is a dedicated and skilled builder with deep roots in Central Missouri. Born and raised in Cooper County, Matt has spent his career building homes and earning a strong reputation for quality craftsmanship in both Cooper and Boone county. With nearly 13 years of experience in the real estate industry, Matt has successfully sold and auctioned numerous farms throughout Central Missouri, establishing himself as a trusted name in the local market.
In his spare time, Matt enjoys pursuing his passions for the outdoors, especially chasing Missouri gobblers and hunting whitetail deer. Alongside his career in construction and real estate, he is the proud owner and operator of Turtle Creek Taxidermy. Matt is licensed in Kansas & Missouri.
